Bridal Hair and Makeup
Before training as a hair and makeup artist, I actually worked in a bridal boutique between my 2nd and 3rd year at uni. I absolutely loved working with brides, so when I qualified as a hair and makeup artist in 2016, as well as working in other areas of the industry, it was important to me that I could also still work with brides.
Since moving to Sheffield, I gradually started to specialise in Bridal Hair and Makeup, whilst continuing to work every now and again on film and tv productions, commercial shoots, and working regularly at a local photography studio, specialising in Boudoir and Confidence Boosters.
It's really important to me that you look and feel comfortable in your hair and makeup for your wedding, and that you still feel like yourself. It’s important that you look radient, not only in person, but on camera and film too if you’re using a videographer.
I love taking inspiration from elements of your wedding plans to tailor your hair and makeup to you, and the over all feel of your wedding. I also love working with Airbrush Makeup, as it really has the most beautiful finish in person and on camera, and the coverage can be kept nice and light, or built up without looking heavy.
Your trial is not only a fantastic opportunity to create your bespoke hair and makeup look for your wedding day, and to see what products work best for your skin and hair, but also for us to get to know each other! It is also a great opportunity to ask me any questions and to have a good look at what I carry in my kit!
My kit is constantly evolving, which is one of the reasons I advise having your trial no more than 3 months before your big day, ideally between 6-8 weeks beforehand. This also means that by the time we get to your trial, you will have a pretty good idea of how your day is going to look, and how we can reflect the over all feel of your day in your hair and makeup.
In the lead up to the wedding, we will work together to create a schedule to make sure that you and your bridal party are all ready in plenty of time. This takes into account extra time for touch ups, helping you with your veil and any other accessories, and making sure you have some private time with your bridal party before you need to leave
Should you then wish for me to stay for touch ups for your photos after your ceremony, I can bring a mini kit with me, and even set up a station for your guests. Alternatively I can provide you with a few pins, a mini hairspray, and a small sample of your bespoke lip colour (I usually mix together about 4 or 5 different shades of lipstick to get your perfect colour!) to keep you looking fresh throughout the day.
I appreciate that this can be a lot of information to take in, and you may even still have some questions, and I would love for you to get in touch so I can talk you through any concerns. I also have a list of guide package prices available here, although I appreciate that these packages might not suit everyone, so for an accurate quote, please fill out my Bridal Enquiry Form and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
